where should I move in the USA (budget, preferences posted) (condo, college)

My budget is one million for everything. I can telecommute so I can go anywhere in the US.

Things about me:

- young male
- prefer college towns
- liberal
- enjoy the outdoors, particularly fishing/boating/hiking
- marijuana friendly preferred.
- enjoy the ocean
- want a house, not a condo

Considerations so far: San Diego (pacific beach), Eugene OR, Humboldt CA, Seattle WA, Boulder CO, San Fran CA, Santa Cruz CA, Aspen CO.

If you don't mind lakes or snow, I'd add Ithaca NY, Burlington VT and Ann Arbor MI.

Those were already listed in the OP...

They're all great ideas too, generally I'd think anywhere in Washington, Colorado or California would be a great place to be.
