I live in the south Denver metro. It's absolutely wonderful here! I live in the hills with beautiful views of Pikes Peak to the south and the whole Front Range to the west. Even a simple drive to the grocery store is amazing. Looking at Pikes Peak from where I live is like looking at Mt. Rainier from Tacoma. It's like BAM! (And I'm not even in Colorado Springs!)
The weather around this time of year is fantastic. It does get hot during the day (Around 90 degrees, but to me, humidity or not, that's hot.) With great evening temperatures and nice cool nights.
To get to the center part of my town, I drop 300 feet in elevation going down the hill from one part of town to the next.
Great skiing is only 2 hours away and awesome hiking at Loveland Pass (I like easy access) is only 90 minutes from my house to the saddle of the pass, where there are many peaks within EASY hiking distance. Well, easy if you're a local. From the top of the peaks, you can see mountain range after mountain range to the west. It's truly breathtaking.
Thunderstorms here are THUNDERSTORMS. When it rains, it RAINS, and if there's lightning, it's LIGHTNING! BAM!
The only downside is that winter storms can get VERY harsh and extremely dangerous to drive in.
I live in CO, north denver suburbs and I love it. Good weather, tons of sunshine, more outdoor activities than I could ever hope for, all 4 sports (and all the other too), nice friendly people.
An itty bitty city in the TN mountains is home for me now and I love it. It has a few problems, and it sure wouldn't suit a lot of people, but it fits me just fine!
First of all, the united states is a great place to live, even with the problems we face today. We are all blessed to live here, we have it better than most people here realize, so everyone should be greatful for that.
With that said, I also enjoy living in the area I live in (central florida). I'm 18 so I might want to go live other places to explore the world a bit throughout life, but I will always return home here.
Live in the San Francisco Peninsula, love it. Perfect weather, anything I want to do within short distance, amazing culture, stunning beauty. The weather is the number one factor, its absolutely perfect . Did I mention the food, its an ethnic food lovers dream!
I live in Minneapolis and love it. I've also lived in other cities, and have loved them (although in the case of LA, DC, and especially SF, did not love the cost of living!) For us at this point in life Minneapolis offers the best match in terms of amenities, livability, cost of living, affordable family-friendly opportunitise (good public schools, affordable preschools, etc.) and access to family, so I'm very happy to be here. I've also lived in a few places that I didn't love, but did enjoy, at least on a temporary basis. I've been lucky not have been stuck in any place I've actively disliked or hated.
