Ok, why is it that when looking for the "friendliest" people or "friendliest" places to go, like Nashville or parts of Texas, they are also places that are not the safest to be! It's like hi there and give me your wallet!
I am young and broke, but employable, so looking for a place that is cheap, don't have to drive as don't have a car ( did I mention I am broke ) and want to go to a friendly area, but it seems that they are either not cheap and/or dangerous! Suggestions please!

The Gulf Coast--Florida/Alabama Panhandle. There are little towns that should never change.

On the Atlantic side/east coast---Fernandina Beach.

St. Augustine is great--might be expensive --at least part of the year.

LOL--Watch the Food Channel--follow Paula Dean's sons or Rachel Ray???
