I've always been a fan of cold weather, I can't stand even moderate heat. When people talk about a "nice climate" though, they tend to mean a HOT climate, don't you agree?
The best days of the year, IMO, are those first cool, brisk days in Autumn when the highs are in the 50s, clear skies (no humid haze), and breezes. The leaves are turning, you have to whip out a sweater for the first time, and the sound of football on TV or the radio. Everything looks and feels so clean and fresh. I'm so ready for that!

Fall in Georgia. Wonderful. Never too cold, amazing colors, and the World Series. I'm right there with you. Ready for it.
To me, "good weather" means the West Coast. That's it. Not too hot or cold, not humid, no extreme weather for the most part. All other climates can only wish they were the West Coast.
Good weather is anytime I don't have to run the heat or AC, so between about 55F and 80F. Or about 5-6 months out of the year here.
I do think when a lot of people talk about wanting good weather they mean they want a place where the temperatures stay relatively mild year round. Not having four distinct seasons to look forward to is boring to me though. I like the change.

Agree completely. There is a reason why properties in coastal California are more valuable than any other place in the continental USA. This type of weather is desirable to the masses.
I look at it this way: One more month of awful weather, and then we're back into "my time of the year"--fall and winter, cool and pleasant, cold and snowy.

So spot on. My fav time of year also.....late September, early October.
I absolutely love October in Chicago. Temps from 60-70, very crisp but sunny. Football, trees turning. I just want to be outside all the time.
