Fayetteville Wants YOU: Brought To You By Dex

But Democrats control the local and state positions. Military folks tend not to vote in local elections.

Why?

There is a lot more to Colorado Springs than the A.F. Academy and evangelicals.

Is this how people in overwhelmingly liberal cities think?

San Diego minus the republican vote stuff. The city is more moderate and financially conservative.

Maybe the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area of VA and the Jacksonville FL area, as well.

Military City USA - San Antonio

This is not the place to debate your linkage to politics. With a mostly Democrat (although officially non-partisan) city council and 2/3 Democrat representation in Congress, San Antonio fails your test of how "conservative and patriotic they are and how consistently republican they vote." Nonetheless, San Antonio has long been known as Military City USA, due to having as many as 6, and currently 4, active military installations within the city limits.

San Antonio may vote Democratic, but its far from being a "Liberal city". The Military presence is huge there.
