on Friday I am pretty much gonna be homeless, I still dont know where I am going to move to, I have some money saved up so finding a place wont be a problem, I just need to get a job as soon as I move
Any suggestions? I was hoping to spend no more then about $600-$650 a month for a studio or 1 bed room, I also have a dog, and would prefer NOT hot weather
I was set on Portland (OR) and I may move there, but I was looking into some of the Apartment complexes I may move to and I hear bad things, and Portland overall seems like a sketchy area,, any place you would recommend me moving to? Some place on the cooler side, cheap rent, not alot of crime, and alot of jobs
I would suggest going where you have family and friends who would take you in to their home for a short time until you get situated.Hopefully, this place is in a cooler climate, but beggars can't be choosers when your in a conundrum.
unfortunatley that really isnt an option, I have a dog and the only person I know out west wont let me in his place with my dog
As far as being a drifter or begger, I really am not, I have enough money to be able to afford a Apartment for the short term, I was just hoping for some suggestions on where I should move to
You have two problems against you ---- you need a place to live, but don't have a job. Also, the dog could be a problem when renting an apartment. You don't even know where you want to live. Cheap rent and alot of job opportunities don't go together. Have you thought of the cooler states (weather wise) ......... I'd look into Lincoln, NE, Des Moines, Iowa, Kansas City, MO for starters. Good luck. Let us know.
Madison Wisconsin would be a re-freshing change from Vegas. There are jobs available there and you could find a rental in the $600 range. It is a quite Liberal community, people there are for the most part friendly and accepting of outsiders. Good luck!!
Stay in an extended stay hotel/motel when you first arrive someplace. They generally allow pets. Then, get the job, using either your hotel's address or a rented mailbox's address if need be, then find the apartment.
