Hispanic: I think SoCal, Arizona and Texas
If I hear the word Cuban I think Miami.
If I hear the word Puerto Rican or Boriqua I think of Orlando.
If I hear the word Mexican I think Los Angeles.
If I hear the word Dominicano I think of Orlando.
If I hear the word Columbian I think of Orlando, as well as Honduras, Costa Rica, Nigaragua or any Central American country.
If I hear the word Spanish I think of Madrid.
A city doesn't really come to my mind as first thing, except maybe Mexico City.
I think the first US city to come to mind was San Antonio, but I wasn't sure that's justified. Still it looks to be fairly Hispanic, but mostly I was probably thinking of it because of its significant to Tex-Mex history. Possibly Santa Fe, New Mexico or El Paso, Texas would come up next. I might be more Mexican-focused in my thinking on "Hispanic."
haha! For real tho
Mexican - L.A. Any Texas city, Phoenix, Chicago
Puerto Rican - NYC, Orlando, Miami, Chicago, Philly
Cuban - Miami
Dominican - NYC, Florida, Boston
Central American - L.A. Miami Houston San Fransico/Bay Area
South Amrican - L.A. NYC Miami
Los Angeles (or some other city in the Southwest) is always my first choice. Until I started looking up city demographics, I didn't even know there was much of a Hispanic presence in the Midwest/Northeast outside of New York, so it's hard to imagine places in those regions that have a large Hispanic population.
Almost nobody uses the term Hispanic in Miami. The term used mostly is Latin.
