Maybe its that we all get so used to our own dialect's particular quirks that we all think we speak "normally," and hear a different dialect's quirks as doubly or triply noticeable.

Well, here are more of mine.

YouTube - More accent stuff

Toward the end, I started reading a lot quicker because it was a pretty long list of words. It may or may not be a representative sample of the way I talk, given that I've been cooped up in here all day.

*Note: I almost forgot how to say the word envelope. Hah!

Here's a little video I took of my grandmother at age 93, I was trying to get her to say "Merry Christmas" but she didn't understand, and then my dad speaks off-camera. There's a mix of accents, I think my accent is midland.

YouTube - - accent

I made this video of me talking and, as a regular poster on CD, specifically made an account that didn't have my location on it so that you can hear me speaking without the influence of my previous posts or location. Let me know what you think.

Definitely sounds like a watered down Jersey accent. As was mentioned before, perhaps a Florida transplant?

I might decide to post mine on here later on. You guys wouldn't think I'm from Savannah with my accent. Then again, ya never know.
