Do you judge a city based on how good or bad their major league sports teams (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL) are?

just curious......

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
Its not like the players on these teams are from that city! The only thing that doesnt change of the teams are the logo and stadium. The players and coaches are from all over the world and america. Theres nothing in these teams that are associated with the city. You just pay them and they come. Ridiculous.

Well, when my brother has his car keyed and his Steelers bumper sticker sliced in Cleveland, it becomes a bit harder not to judge a city based on its sports teams. *lol*

No, but I wouldn't be surprised if others did. Some people take things too seriously.

Once, I had a customer on the phone begrudgingly ask me if I was a Colts fan because I lived in Indiana. Why would someone feel compelled to ask such a question?

Many people do this, and it is quite unfortunate. I am a Browns fan but I also think Pittsburgh is a great city. I think that judging a town by their sports team is one of the most juvenile things to do.

On the other hand, there is no way you will catch me in Pittsburgh wearing a Browns jersey.

You don't just a city like that, but you want your city's team to win. Go Redskins!

In OK City, we're happy to have the Thunder.....but, we're just fine with the Sooners being our "pro" team for the whole state.
