Why do people get so offended when someone does not like their city?

Atlanta is the most overrated city. I was in Atlanta to visit my friend 3 months ago and what I don't like is the overall attitude of some of the folks in that city. It makes the friendly folks seem fake and I don't like how when you turn into a neighborhood folks start judging you by the car you drive and the way you look. To me it all stems from the attitude.

So you turned into a neighborhood and everyone started coming out of their houses pointing and laughing because you drive a Ford Focus and wear Wranglers or something? I don't get it.

You are going to have to explain how Atlanta is "overrated" as if a significant amount of people are putting above other cities. I have not see this.

Thats one of many reasons why I don't like Georgia and most southern states(except Florida, Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland, and Delaware). Most people(including Black Americans) in the deep south are very prejudice against Blacks that have African Facial Features and non-American Foreign Immigrants............

Atlanta is trying too hard to mimic New York and LA just because a few people from New York and LA relocated to Atlanta..........

I don't understand your logic. What's wrong with mimicking either of those cities and how does that make it overrated?
