Any suggestions for ideal places for young families? We ideally would like to find a place with a reasonable cost of living but with enough people that you can have some anonymity--we're being suffocated in our college town. We also want real city ammenities-real things to do, not just farmer's markets on summer weekends. I feel like we moved to a great place to retire....but we're only early 30s with young kids! Safety and decent public schools are important, and it would be nice if there was some diversity-of opinions, of people.

We just moved to State College, PA.....and love it. Awesome for young families, I'm sure boring for singles.

GREAT schools, LOTS of outdoor activities, because of Penn State- lots of diversity, special events, etc.

Love it!
