Indiana and Ohio are wannabe southern states.
Jack-in-the-Box uses horsemeat or dogmeat or whatever it is. I have been told that the true California experience is In-n-Out Burger.

i think Missouri doesn't need Waffle Houses either. In fact as far as I know they only began appearing about 10 years ago...they certainly have not been here that long. Jack however can stay...I will never let his smiling face depart the Show-Me-State. The Waffle Houses can stay in Springfield and Joplin IMO....Indiana and Ohio wannabe Southern states? Like Missouri, they draw influence from bordering other southern states in their southern portions, like Kentucky.Still, what I don't understand is how these three states have Waffle Houses yet Illinois does not. Given Illinois is bordered mostly by Missouri and Indiana, you'd expect it to have as many Waffle Houses as its neighboring Midwestern states (MO and IN, not Iowa and Wisconsin)
