I would also recommend Miami-Ft Lauderdale area. South Beach used to be more gay but many moved up to the Ft Lauderdale. Ft Laud gay scene is pretty spread out throught the city. However, Wilton Manors is the up and coming gay area. You should not have any issues being Mex-Amer. Also, what about P-town and Fire Island?

No I don't think so. I heard Boston is racist as well. And their south end?

Nice joke

I don't know if it's the same post-Katrina, but pre-Katrina, New Orleans was very welcoming to people of all nationalities and was very gay-friendly.

If you are looking for a trip out of the US, Amsterdam is very, very gay friendly and Hispanic heritage isn't disparaged there.

The South End is the gay area of Boston, though I have to admit, for a city in such a gay-friendly state, there's very little in the way of gay nightlife there. Most Boston gays I know prefer going out in Providence where there are more gay bars/clubs/whatever.

My bad. Providence does sound likely, along with Ft. Lauderdale so those will go down on the list.

Anyone know about DC?

I, being a Virginian, know a lot about DC... there are many gayborhoods (gay neighborhoods) throughout the city, but most of them are in the Dupont Circle area. Most gay bars are on P street, and there are a lot of hangouts there.
