LOL, ok Steve, after further talks with my dad and more of his bone-chilling tales of his depressing childhood in boring ol' Joplin, I'll take Joplin off. Truth be told...I think Joplin should be relegated to being a suburb of Springfield...after all...it's only a 30 mile drive west on I-44 from Springfield

Virginia's dominance in the United States of America is on the rise. Northern Virginia in particular is a technology hub for the Washington Metropolitan Area as a whole.

Seriously though, the only reasons why Houston and Dallas are booming is because of illegal immigration, also the same with California and other southern states.

True, the Mexicans help too. Northern Virginia has a lot of them too. We would not be THE BEST STATE TO DO BUSINESS IN, as rated by Forbes Magazine, without them. This is another reason why Virginia is on the rise.

Maryland and its liberal politics/high taxes/ homosexuality/ lax gun laws/ high crime/ crabs/ proximity to Wash./ secularness/ Union pandered status/ water/ ill-educated people/ historic Catholicism/ the Naval Academy/ trees make it one of the best and fastest rising states in the nation, perhaps even exceeding places like Virginia or Virginia.
