Three years I'll be done with high school.. and I'm looking forward to going to college. I have a lot of things planned out in my life already, even though I know it can change.
Anyways. When I'm done with my Bachelor's degree.. I want to be able to look forward to moving somewhere where I'll be content with where I live

I'm looking for a city that is integrated, an area where MLK's dream is a reality.. I hope you get the picture.

I enjoy shopping, the beach occasionally (I don't have to be near a beach all the time, but if a nice one isn't terribly far away it wouldn't hurt), going to basketball/football games, outdoor activities, etc.

Sorry if I didn't post enough information, I have a habit of doing that .. But if you need more information just ask.

At first I thought San Diego would be a good choice, but I'm not too sure about that anymore. I have also been thinking about Atlanta, Dallas, and Seattle.. are these good choices, or should I look into other areas? What are some upcoming, integrated cities?

Thanks a lot if you can help

What's wrong with Chicago? You forgot to mention Houston in the trinity of the southern cities.

Chicago is highly segregated.

San Diego is a good choice for you. A lot of cities in that region are intergrated.

I was going to mention Houston.. I haven't been there yet though.
I haven't been to Seattle either... I don't know my brain is probably tired or something haha.

I like Chicago a lot, but I want to explore more, you know? I can always come back and visit.. but for now I want to see else there is to offer in this great country. It's a very segregated though, IMO. Some areas are integrated, but a lot of neighborhoods in the city are quite homogenous.

I liked Northern Virginia. If I lived in D.C., Fairfax (city) seems to be a good enough distance away from Washington. I like how I-66 and other roads around Washington make curves. Virginia's history is very rich; this is the place that 4 out of the first 5 presidents lived and don't forget the Queen's visit to Jamestown recently.

San Diego? It's nice to visit, but do you want to use your passport to go across town? Try L.A. instead!

Those 10 least segregated cities have hardly any black people at all! No wonder there's not much segregation. What a stupid list...

ABQ= 3% African-American
Orange County= 1.6% African-American
Tucson= 4.3% African-American
San Jose= 3.5%
SLC= 1.89%
McAllen= 2.6%
Phoenix= 5%
Las Vegas= 10%
Honolulu= 1.6%
Riverside= 7.3%

Excellent point, Steve-o. Goes to show how easily manipulated and misleading statistics can be until you actually do more face-value comparison.
