The Ozarks are known to have a lot of local color, if you know what I mean.

A lot of people look upon the eastern plains of Colorado as a vast wasteland.

Western Kansas is a semi-arid grass desert with extremely conservative people. Very few people move to the area and most young people leave for jobs elsewhere.

Northern VA has Liberals, Left-Wingers, and Democrats. While the rest of VA is REALLY CONSERVATIVE.

I traveled to the NW US, where I heard several locals there refer to residents of my home state as FLOR-IDIOTS. Sad to say, they are not that far from the mark, LOL.

Southern Indiana gets picked on quite a bit by folks who live in Indianapolis and north as being a little bit too much like Kentucky, which is apparently a bad thing.

What they don't know is that Southern Indiana is naturally pretty in ways the rest of the state can only dream about. Hills, woods, lakes and some very interesting smaller cities.

Lynn, Lynn city of sin, never come out the way you come in.

Springfield - the Detroit of Massachusetts.

Wareham - the armpit of Cape Cod (quite literally). With trailer parks, divey motels, and a quintesential Wal-Mart with redneck character.

Revere - the most abrasive Boston accents imaginable, terrible dishonor to be the namesake of an honorable patriot.

Here in Orange County, people constantly complain about meth heads from the Inland Empire and Central Valley.
As well, to most of them, Santa Ana is our main ghetto, when it's really just more run down than crime ridden.
