Theres still snow on the ground in Philly? Nothing here in NY. (Yeah I know i am gonna jinx it and we get like a blizzard next week or something ).
Well we got snow on Monday night again, just when the last of it melted on Sunday, before that I think it was Jan 3rd when last the grass appeared, good news it is melting again, I saw a cardinal yesterday, always a leading sign of spring
Things are actually starting to bud here. There are a couple of cherry trees in my neighborhood that have started to bloom, along with a crabapple tree or two. The daffodils are popping, and I saw my first thrift (purple ground cover) blooming yesterday on the way home. I LOVE spring here.
Of course, it doesn't hurt that it's been in the low 70's every day for about 5 days straight now.
Nothing here in Brooklyn yet. I actually got up in terror to look out the window of my 14th floor just to make sure. I think I am gonna jinx it, the end times are coming.
Agreed. Pretty much anywhere that has the combination of Dogwoods, Cherry Trees, Azaleas & Wysteria. Cities especially in VA, NC, SC, GA, AL and others.
Much of the Northeast and Midwest have that combination too.
Anywhere with rolling hills, streams and green green grass gets my vote. And that should cover a lot of area.
Atlanta is awesome with all the pollen accumulating on everything. On a windy night, you can see halos in the streetlights because of all the pollen blowing. When spring is in the air in Atlanta, it's typically yellow in color.
