No we didn't.

Maybe your Media made it look that way, but that is just how the media works... borderline BS all the time just to make a story if there isn't a real valid one there to begin with.

Where in the US were you when you saw all these Americans burning British flags? Never saw them here, and never saw them on the news here.

We were/are mad at the company, not the people.

The dislike for BP didn't carry over to the UK. Every American I've ever met seem to like Brits, and Irish, and Australians, and Canadians.

It's when there is a language barrier that some Americans get a little snotty and resentful for having to read or hear languages they may not understand

No one is mad at the Brits, although there is some great concern for what is happening in your Country.

Look, after we whipped that ass in the 1770's...we've liked you guys ever since, sure we've had to bail you out a couple of times, but in the end you guys have been pretty good at doing what we've told you to with regard to foreign affairs.

I must agree with the poster who makes the point that it would be ridiculous for someone to be completely incapable of distinguishing between the acts of a transnational corporation and the country in which that corporation is officially incorporated.

Most people in the U.S. love your accents (present company included).

All of that being said, I do not, will not, and cannot like Wayne Rooney. Period.

Americans love the British. You should have no problems - plus we will think you are about 10 IQ points smarter than you actually are.

No anti-British feelings.
But give us more Rolling Stones and Sex Pistols! They were great!
