Well Kansas and Nebraska is in the midwest, not the southwest, and there really isn't a true answer to this question. It comes down to preference. Your question is too broad.

ok, help! how are NJ, MA, CT and RI (I think this what you mean by RH) NOT part of the Northeast, and the "Northeast" states NOT part of the East Coast?

And how on EARTH can AK and HI be lumped together??

Good Lord, how can Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas be part of the Southwest?? Alaska and Hawaii are probably two of the most polar-opposite US states, how can you group them together>
