Texas is mostly flat and hot; plus the cities in Texas blow.
I concur. Shouldn't even been an option. I would have put Washington, Montana, Illinois, Virginia, Hawaii, Colorado and several others in there before Texas.
Upstate NY in the Finger Lakes region is very beautiful. Geneva is a nice small town dating from the 1820's. The view of Seneca Lake from the park across the railroad tracks on Lake Street is breathtaking with the hills around the other side of the lake.
I live in Orange County, CA right now but would rather live in Texas. Why? Cheaper real estate, more open spaces, less crowded, less congestion, more wild west life style (speaking gun wise), lower taxes. Overall, higher standard of living.
I'll take my plot of land out in the sticks over the trash out here in Orange County. I am tried of the traffic jams, I am tired of the rude people constantly playing their loud music in the middle of the night, I am tired of the gang members terrorizing the schools and the neighborhoods. I'll take Texas weather over CA weather for all the benefits I have listed. Weather is only so important.
Once I graduate from college I am surely leaving this dump.
Texas is full of gun slinging, Jesus freak nut jobs.
New York is okay, the state is pretty boring and the city is dirty, overpriced, and overcrowded.
I'll take California.
