Too bad they didnt do Native Hawaiian/ Pacific Islanders
And much of that $1T from people who don't pay income taxes. Time for the United States to ditch the income tax and create a federal sales tax in its place.
There's more to that than you'd think... the Spanish, Chinese, Americans and the Japanese have all separately ruled over the Philippines, but the Spanish and the Chinese were there for centuries... there ARE a lot of Filipinos that are for all intents and purposes Spanish, and there's also still a large native population in the outskirts of the island.
still Asian, because their birth country is within the continent of Asia. DUH! The spanish influence is very much diluted within the dominant "Asian" population of the Phillipines, not vice versa. Are Vietnamese people no longer Asian because of their French influence? are Indians now British because they ruled India?

Filipino culture was undoubtably heavily influenced by Spanish culture.
Why do these lists always leave out white buying power ? It would be interesting to see the difference. Perhaps Asians have a higher buying power on average than White people do or vice versa...It would add a average to judge the groups on if white people were included [since white people are the majority that = average today].
Simply comparing various minority groups is fine, but it is incomplete by leaving out a large chunk of the population [white].

I believe this is done to show people not to underestimate the economic impact of minority groups, in spite of the fact that all of these general minority groups have higher poverty rates/percentages than Whites.
What that means is they, just like the blacks, SPEND all of their money.
It does not mean wealth nor does it mean economic power, it means that's how much money they'll spend.
Don't get to excited...........being know as a consumer and not a producer is not such a good thing.

Maybe, but its hard to gauge how large of a impact any of those groups have without a standard to judge it against. Whites [for now] are the standard.
Also the origin of this chart is listed as "multi-cultural", am I wrong in thinking that every race has a culture ? Why are White people considered cultureless by the American Government ?
