Publix ftw!

Grocery stores in the Orlando area:

Publix (almost every corner)
Winndixie (shrinking)
Albertsons (rare)
Walmart neighborhood markets
Walmart supercenters
Target
Sav-a-lot
Aldi
Whole foods
Fresh market
Sams club
BJs
Costco

That's all I can think of

You forgot about several Natural Foods Markets in Colorado.

- Sunflower Farmers Market (despite the name, it is a grocery store comparable to Whole Foods)
- Sprouts Farmers Market (ditto) -- a competitor to Sunflower
- Vitamin Cottage (also a natural foods market, name a bit of a misnomer)

Not really forgotten, I just don't consider them "supermarkets".

Growing up in Iowa:

Hy-Vee (they had a huge monopoly it seemed)
Eagle (I think they're finished off now)
Cub
Dahls (in Des Moines)

Then of course all your Wal-Mart, Target, Sams, Whole Foods which are everywhere.

Chicago:
Jewel
Dominicks
Aldi's

In central/western New York we had Wegmans which is still my favorite grocery store.

There is also Tops and several years ago there was Ames, but that one shut down.
