Grew up in Springfield, IL; moved to Austin, TX then Boston, MA and then Madison, WI. Would like to settle in either Chicago or Boston, but if I had my choice to move back to places I had lived I wouldn't choose Springfield. It's not a bad town, but it's too small and sleepy for my choice. Didn't care much for Austin, either, so I don't think I'd move back there, either.
Sure do. Moved around a bit within California, Iowa and the UK, but can't stay away from home. Fourth generation San Franciscan on my mom's side. Getting to be more of a rare thing to be all the time.
You say you're an athiest, Joey....but you ''Thank God'' ...even reverently accurately using capitol ''G'' ......you may be more 'Godly' than you realize? Hope so!
Obvisiously, you were spared in the April 27th Tornado.

No, I live two and a half hours away from my hometown. I was born in Leonardtown, Maryland and I live just right across the Chesapeake Bay in the eastern shore now. I actually don't visit often, but the last time I went there was about a month or so ago.
My hometown is a small town/exurb between Lexington and Louisville, KY.
I moved approximately 95 miles to the Kentucky suburbs of Cincinnati. So, still in Kentucky, but socially and functionally they're an extension of Cincinnati and Ohio.
I'm about to move to the Bay Area of California. I don't miss my hometown, I don't miss Louisville at all (where I lived for a brief stint) and I won't miss Cincinnati. Unless it is an extremely compelling family or career reason, I already don't see myself living in Kentucky again.
My username tells my short story of where I grew up and where I now live.
