I am an army wife, my husband will be getting out of the army next may, and I will be graduating with my BSN/RN this December. We live currently in the savannah, ga region.

We absolutely love the weather in this Carolina Mountain area. We want to raise our children somewhere that has 4 seasons and snow! We are so tired of the the GA heat!

I need to move somewhere that will be open to new grad RNs. I have heard that it is so hard to find a hospital with new grad openings. Even here in savannah there is very few openings for new grad RNs. I heard in Asheville its the same way. I will become the sole supporter of my family of 4, while my hubby will be doing some type of technical school. So I will need a job before we move.

So this is what we need! A town/ area with Asheville type weather.... A place were I could get a new grad RN job....and I would love if possible for there to be a good Christian school that actually has sports programs, like competitve football for middle school/high school. My son is an amazing football player, but also plays basketball and baseball.... I guess if thats not possible, a really good public school system.... also a technical school within a reasonable drive for my husband to use his GI Bill....Also, doesnt have to be NC. We are open to TN, NC, SC, GA, etc. Anywere thats like mountain type of weather. I know thats a long list, and maybe doesnt exist, but thought Id throw it out there... The biggest thing I think is a hospital who is actually going to hire new grad RNs.

Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to read this and has any input!

What about Knoxville and the Johnson City areas in TN; Roanoke, Harrisonburg and Blacksburg in VA; Charleston WV; Boone NC and the Upstate SC area(Clemson, Greenville, Anderson, etc.).
