I have to say New Jersey, but they don't really have that many skylines to brag about.

Boston has Bunker Hill, Great Blue hill (700ft) breeds Hill, Eagle hill, ect. which you can view the skyline.

You can do that in California as well, it would only take 10 hours, 5 times more than in NJ, also I think Washington should be mentioned with Portland, Seattle and Vancouver(why not).
