The cool thing about Jersey over Cali though, is that you could drive all over Jersey in a day and see them all.
You can do that in California as well, it would only take 10 hours, 5 times more than in NJ, also I think Washington should be mentioned with Portland, Seattle and Vancouver(why not).
California and Pennsylvania are the only states above that have hills from which major city skylines can be easily viewed.
