is there anywhere on the east coast that does not have high humidity?

No.

Most of the time its tolerable, but then you have a week or two like theyre having now, the humidity skyrockets. The good thing is it goes away.

Yes, a day like yesterday (felt like 100) when your electricity goes out for 6 hours will make you an angry person! (we were not happy campers).

However, in this part of the E. Coast you do get breaks. As rotten as yesterday was, today is gorgeous.

I have also found that if you go up to places North, like in Northern New England, they get cooler nights, even if the days are brutal.
