i don't know for me all of my places matched me perfectly... but a lot of the questions that the quiz asked were really relevant to the type of life I want...(ie hiking...snow...etc)
***edit*** if it makes you feel any better when i chose midwest/western USA for choices I was shocked by many of them too... but when i chose NE they were exactly what I was looking for

What I mean is that I like those states overall--just the general "atmosphere" of them, at least enough that I'd be interested in living in one of them for a few years. I don't think I'd stay longer than that, as I prefer other areas (as I mentioned), but I'd enjoy it for a few years. I know this because I've traveled for work in the past and I've had a chance to spend some time in every state . . . though not always a lot of time in each one.
I would have liked to be able to say, "Show me the places in
these specific states that are the closest to my answers". The characteristics of those places might not have been as close to my answers as places in other states, but sometimes you're willing to compromise on just about everything else to be in a specific state, or live in a specific climate, etc. There should be options on a site like that such as "ONLY show me places where the average temperature for any month does not exceed
n degrees", or "ONLY show me places in this particular state (or these particular states)", and so on.
