Yesterday, I-65/70 through downtown Indianapolis closed for 2 months while crews work 24/7 to lower the roadway under some of the bridges. There were so many trucks striking one bridge, despite a sign saying the height of the bridge, that INDOT put in a camera last year to catch the strikes and put together this compilation.

That looks like a really great improvement over the older bridge!

This project is pretty far along already, but seven bridges and overpasses are being replaced along the Belt Parkway in NYC.

They're much more aesthetically pleasing than the old ones, and safer + smoother.

one of the most important things when drilling is to make sure your drill bit isn't going in reverse as it slows up your progress considerably

Pennsauken Transit Center in South Jersey. It will connect the Riverline with the Atlantic City Line. It is expected to open up later this year.

Summer of 2012 I was sitting in Reading Terminal here at the Dinic's lunch counter and sat next to me were three civil engineers from Honolulu. They were here for a conference. Had a great time chatting with them about the project. They were quite surprised when I asked them about the project. They didn't expect anyone from this neck of the woods to know about it. I said first off I love infrastructure. I happen to believe the govt should be spending loads more on it. Based on the the reaction I got from them it seems to me that people in Hawaii are quite insular and almost place themselves apart from the US. I and all the rest of America are paying $1.6B for that project. I would hope the more insular people living in Hawaii remember that.
