I've seen Hawaii and Alaska plates in Missouri.

Alaska. They kind of look like NY plates or vintage MD plates.

In my experience Hawaii plates win for the most distant U.S. state. I saw them while living in the midwest & also while here in Atlanta.
A place that is a part of the U.S. that is even further away than Hawaii that I've seen a plate for is the territory of Guam.

Alaska is actually pretty common for some reason. I know a lot of Alaskans here as well which is strange.

I have seen about two or three Hawaii license plates in my lifetime not in Hawaii. One of those times was on Long Island...

For the continental U.S. I think New Hampshire is the furthest. I don't recall ever seeing a Maine license plate.

I see more Hawaii than I do Alaska. I have seen US Virgin Island and Guam. Plenty of Quebec and Ontario (Ontario especially in Charlotte). Common out of staters here are Virginia and south Carolina, also a lot of new jersey and new York. Ohio. Georgia.

Alaska in Texas. Being a military town I also see a lot of European tags around my neighborhood. So say Germany to south central Texas probably.

If you're talking about STATE plates, then Hawaii is obviously the most "farthest" (furtherst?) plate possible, since that car had to be put on a boat and then driven to wherever. And yes, I've seen plenty of them in Georgia. Guam and Puerto Rico as well.

I've also seen quite a few Mexican and Central American plates. But the ones that always get a raised eyebrow from me are international diplomats, especially consultants and the like.

Texas... When I was visiting Quebec. And I thought the drive from Pennsylvania was long!
