What I always wonder about is why someone (or there company ReLoc Dept) would pay to move a Hawaii registered car back across the Pacific to Lower 48.

I would think it would be cheaper to buy out the employee Hawaii based car, even if they pay over BlueBook value so not have to pay to move it from Hawaii to California, then ship it across the L48 on a car carrier to the persons new location.

Rhode Island has a sort of multi-colored rainbow one. I like it, it's pretty far out, man.

The most furthest away state plate I have seen here in New York would probably have to be Montana. The most common out of state plates here in New York are New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida ... the latter three are the prime indicator of a snowbird in your midst, give them wide berth!

Conversely, I did see one Maryland plate in front of the Monterey, CA Marriott the day I arrived there last October on my last trip which is the furthest I've ever seen my native state's plate.

I've seen every license plate in the United States, with the exception of Montana, in Pittsburgh.

The most common non-PA plates I see are:

1. New Jersey
2. Ohio
3. West Virginia
4. Virginia
5. California

Like several other people here, I've seen both Alaska and Hawaii plates here in the Twin Cities. You see lots of California, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, and the grand prize winner, Wisconsin.

I can't say I've ever seen Delaware plates, either, but I saw Rhode Island plates on a semi just yesterday.
