In Ohio, I've seen every state this year except South Dakota. While visiting family in Toronto, I saw a car downtown with Estado de Mexico license plates.
I have yet to see a car with a license plate from Guam, Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands anywhere.
Alaska plates a number of times in Chicagoland. Also Hawaii a couple of times, which is kind of baffling. You can drive down from Alaska, but it's a lot of trouble and expense to get your car here from Hawaii. It hardly seems worth the trouble, since these were just ordinary sedans.
I haven't read through this whole thread, but I see Alaska all the time (in Louisiana, and where I'm originally from, Virginia). Do you think these people actually make the drive, or just ship their cars? The reason I ask is that I've never seen a British Columbia plate outside of Washington and BC itself.
Edit: I used to do a lot of driving between Georgia and Connecticut (most of the East Coast), and I found it pretty easy to see 49 states' plates; I even saw Hawaii several times before I saw the ever-elusive North Dakota. I have finally seen ND plates about four times now, but for the longest time I thought the state must not exist.
I've only seen one Mexican plate, and that was in Philadelphia.
Double edit: I've only once seen Yukon plates, and that was in Memphis, Tennessee.
I have never seen a mexican plate now that i have seen this thread i am puzzled why
Usually i look at plates while on the expressway
Living in the chicago area near interstate 80
tend to see alot of diff plates from people traveling across the country
i think its interesting to also look at a semi cab and see where they are located

Hawaii, California, Washington (state), Texas, Mississippi, South Dakota, and Wyoming. All of them I spotted on cars here in NYC. I always just assumed they were rental cars.
