I just remembered I've been to Washington also. Forgot all about that one. So I guess that makes 31. And since the OP didn't stipulate any criteria, I'm counting my driving over the state line and turning around and layovers. If I take them off, my list goes to 29. Just for the record, when I actually like of places I've visited, no, I don't really count them.

Sound like me; I have family scattered all over the East coast that I've never met. Only ones I've met are in NC,VA,DC, and MD. I got more in PA and NY.
What were your last states remaining? I still have Utah and North Dakota on my list, though looking to cross out the former later this summer.
Hawaii and Alaska.
Just booked a trip to Hawaii for August though! Only one more left! Be prepared Alaska....
Oh sorry - just reread your question. My last state was actually Georgia. That's good too, because visiting Atlanta was a lot easier than if I would have had to trek up to North Dakota or Idaho or something....
Utah should be fun - absolutely beautiful. North Dakota though....nice people...but not an easy location.

I got really close to North Dakota, too, I was as close as Belle Fourche South Dakota and Devil's Tower Wyoming, but couldn't quite get to North Dakota. I would have gone for it had I known it was still eluding me today.
I think I am finally going to get to Monument Valley Utah this summer, so that should knock off the Beehive (?) State.
