I didn't include the states where it was just a drive through (which are Mississippi, Alabama, West Virginia, and Tennessee.) Nor the layovers (Colorado)
I've since moved onto the "Counties" map, which might be a better indicator of what you've visited. Here's mine:
There are probably a few I am forgetting about, but this is about the gist of my national travel, excluding airport layovers.
Maryland
Delaware (we ended up getting lost there lol)
Pennsylvania
West Virginia
New York
New Jersey
North Carolina
South Carolina
Georgia
Alabama
Florida
Mississippi
Tennessee
Kentucky
Louisiana
Texas
California
Missouri
Oregon
Massachusetts
Over the years I've accumulated at least 12 months' worth of US road trips - around 65,000 total miles, and 46 states. We take a long (6-8 week) road trip every 2-4 years, depending on finances. If it wasn't for expensive air-fares from Australia, I'd do a road trip in the US every year!
The states we've spent the most time in are IL, NY, LA, UT, AZ, TN, MA and CA.
Haven't yet made it to Alaska, Maine, Nebraska or Iowa.
Have missed South Carolina, Arkansas, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire. But I'm from the west, so I think I have a pretty good excuse! (I feel I have visited more eastern states than most westerners have, for what it is worth)
Alotta lists have alot more states than mine lol. Well, it's ok, I'm only 19, and I still plan to see alot more.
