Planning a move, these are my needs...where should i go? I've done a ton of research and wanna see what people have to say. :
1. 4 seasons
2. Immediate(REALLY close, almost backdoor) access to outdoor activities (climbing and hiking being the most important)
3. Potential water-access
4. A town/city that doesnt go to sleep at 10 pm.(We're both young)
5. Dog-friendly-ness
6. We use the airport maybe twice a year..so we need to at least be driving distance.
7. Good public transportation.

pretend jobs arent a issue.
Burlington, Vermont would be a good fit for you. It definitely has four solid seasons, depending on where you live very close access to climbing/hiking, water access to Lake Champlain, a young population that keeps downtown alive at night, very dog-friendly, a surprisingly good airport with nonstops to many cities and a decent transit service thanks to the presence of the University of Vermont.

Perhaps Ithaca NY, which seems to be very similar to Burlington. I guess other Upstate NY cities like Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo could work too. All of them fit the criteria, with Buffalo probably being the best choice overall. You'd probably like Allentown, Elmwood Village, North Buffalo and Kenmore, among a few others.
Boston, MA? The Blue Hills are right outside of Boston Proper (less than 20 min drive) and have tons of outdoor activities. Department of Conservation and Recreation and the outdoor activities in the mountains of western MA and NH are fairly close (1-3 hr drives depending on exactly where)
Boston's downside is that it's very expensive and it finding housing with a dog can be somewhat challenging if you want to live in the city. Otherwise it's a great fit.
Boulder, CO sounds like a good fit, but I don't know about the public transportation options.
Seattle may be another option although I don't know how far you'd need to go to get to the outdoor activities.
