My choice is California but I must say the Texas flag does look a bit like the American flag but not as much as the flag of Puerto Rico.

South Carolina, definitely. I love the South Carolina flag. This thing is plastered all over the state, moreso than any other state I've lived in.

But honorable mention goes to New Mexico, California, and Alabama, who all have cool flags.

The blue "place-mat" flag lasted only a year. After Perdue was elected, they had a referendum in 2004 and changed the flag to the current one.

South Carolina, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, Mississippi, Texas, Wyoming, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Ohio and New Mexico.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE palm trees, the subtropical-tropical climates they can represent and dark starry-night skies also present in SC (much less street lighting than my homeland) so South Carolina for me wins the best looking flag award.

I tend to like the simple designs the most. Alabama, Alaska, New Mexico, and Texas. I also like South Carolina even though I do not consider it simple.

The one I like the least is D.C. It looks like a communist flag. Considering that it is Washington D.C., it probably IS a commie flag.

NY: Classic look, elegant, good color combo.

Runner up: SC--simple but sophisticated straightforward design.

Arizona. What's not to like about it? The flag, that is.
