All those little states(especially in NE) that all look the same and who's residents talk the same and share the same sports teams, being combined into 1 state seems more logical than dividing the gigantic ones.
LOL.. I agree, NH, VT, CT, RI and MA all need to be combined...And it would still be relatively small in area.

Exactly. Not only that, but there are so many states that look so much alike, driving through them seems like you're getting nowhere even if you're flying through them.
A state like Texas shouldn't be divided into more than 3 states. I heard someone complain about Texas being too big, because it takes too long to drive through it. If you're driving from, let's say, Florida to California, regardless in how much you divide Texas into 4 or 5 states, it's still gonna take you 13hrs to drive through all those states that once were Texas. As a matter of fact, depending on how you divide them, you'll just be driving through virtually the same state all over again.

One thing for sure it would have made it easier in Thelma and Louise going to Mexico......Louise hated Texas.............
I am a little confused on combining KY/OH/PA Honestly, I would say a good merger would be MD/DE/Southern NJ with PA, and North Jersey would join in with NYC. WV/KY would merge together almost flawlessly and I voted split TX up into different states which was the original plan had it not been for the slave state free state politics

I didn't mean a combining, just a reworking. Western Pennsylvania has huge differences from Eastern Pennsylvania, and Southern Ohio has huge differences from northern Ohio. I think Southern Ohio should combine with Kentucky with Cincinnati as the capitol, and Northern Ohio should combine with Western Pennsylvania.

Alright I see where you are coming from now. That scenario would not be a bad thing (I would live in the same state as Cedar Point haha) if both cities (Pittsburgh and Cleveland) continued to rebound as they have. They both have a lot of potential and proximity to the east coast minus the ridiculous cost of living and in a new state Pittsburgh would lose the killer corporate tax of PA
