and the ironic thing is almost no residents actually eat deep dish pizza - it's mostly just a tourist thing. My work would get it once a year, and everyone always felt like they were shoving an entire plate of lasagna down their throats! Talk about naptime after...
That confirms my suspicion. I can't imagine anybody eating that on a regular basis. FWIW, deep dish was mini-trend in SoCal in the mid-80’s. Uno’s & Gino’s East ran shops locally. For a about 2 years.
