How many people here have never been to the other half of the country? I suppose I'm aiming more at those on the coasts, but really this poll is for everyone. Say you split the country in half with a line running through the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, right through the centre of Texas. Just wondering how many folk have never left either half? Not intended to make fun of people for being untravelled.
I forgot to add the poll, the four options were to be:
I'm from the West, been to the East
I'm from the West, never been to the East
I'm from the East, been to the West
I'm from the East, never been to the West
Can the mods add the poll or enable me to do so? Or delete this thread so I can repost? (btw I don't know why the 'go advanced' button isn't working, anyway I haven't figured out how to add a poll, if you can, after posting).

I've always been fascinated with the differences between the East and the West, heritage in the East and natural superlatives in the West. I find them much more interesting than comparisons between the North and the South in the Eatsern US.
From the Midwest, but lived on the East Coast. To borrow a phrase from an old song... "I've been everywhere, Man." Except for AK & HI, I've been in every state, most of them several times.
Western guy here, currently living in the Midwest. I have family back East and visit fairly often, but I have not lived more than ten miles east of the Mississippi.
From the East Coast. Of my extended family, half on on the East Coast, half are on the West, and only 1 is anywhere in between (Wisconsin), so I know both coasts well, but very little of anything between them.
