Los Angeles

1. Everyone is rich
2. Everybody is a liberal (95% of us are)
3. We are all tan LOL !
4. We all drive Range Rover. Not everyone drives a Ranger Rover but you see a lot of them everywhere, its pretty common. Seeing a Bentley or an Aston Martin is nothing in this city.
5. We all look like models.
6. Vegans everywhere. Kinda true. A lot of people are vegan and those who arent are into taking care of themselves, eating good, looking good, etc.
7. Democrats (also kinda true)

Stereotypes are often somewhat based in reality.

I'm not sure if it is true though. There are nice and mean people in every state.

My town Holland, was given these stereotypes. Extremely Conservative,A bunch of white dutch churchgoers especially the statement" if u aint dutch u aint much." Well we do have a lot of Dutch people and the influence is evident however the town is continually becoming more diverse. Holland is conservative but in my opinion not extremely. As for the whole state of Michigan everyone seems to think its pretty boring up here flat, cold, and gloomy and that the whole state consists of Detroit, run down factories, deer, and Corn Fields. And while Michigan fits most of its stereotypes its not gloomy ALL the time and theres more to this state than that.

I'll do where I grew up as opposed to where I live now.

Southwest Virginia (Appalachia)

1) Moonshine (ain't nothing better than a little white lightning)
2) Nascar (I must admit...I love it!)
3) Hillbilly's....or the more sophisticated versions like myself...HillWilliams
4) Poorly educated (Depends on the person).
5) Coal (VERY true...all of my family still works in the coal industry)
6) Poverty (Sadly, true)
7) Very conservative (True...except for union coal workers)
8) Religious (Southern Baptists)
9) College Football (VT Hokies!)
10) Bluegrass (Still very popular)

Im from Middle Tennessee and I've been In the army for 5 years now. Been made fun of the entire time because of my accent haha. But I never really left home as kid growing up in the small town of about 300 people. but I've definitely found out people are mostly *******s from other parts of the country. Not saying everyone is. But in general. I like to talk and shake peoples hands and Bull**** about stuff, simple things like that. When I do that around here they look at me like I'm a jackass. It's rude and has also gotten me in trouble several times. Becuase I don't like rude people and I speak my mind. But I love my state and county. Great people.

Saying i'm from MD usually involves people immediately assuming i'm a well-bred person of strong liberal convictions from the DC suburbs or that I grew up in Baltimore and feared for my life on a daily basis.

I grew up on a tobacco farm in a peaceful area and have a strong southern accent.
