All I can say is these are the politicians that WE here in America elect. People show up at the polls and make a concious choice to elect officials with ideas like this. Are we under martial law presently? Well I think more reading on the history of Eastern Europe, Chile, and Russia over the last century, or presently in Syria might be useful before making a bold judgement like that. Even the 1960's were more tamultuous than now here in the US. Of course instability could escalate and the potential for more martial is there, and that is why we need to be better informed voters and looking at a bigger picture not judging by media soundbytes.
Well, since the video is Rand Paul talking about a proposed bill, I would say no.
If your point was to warn us about proposed legislation rather than troll, then take the time to cite the provision in the bill where having seven days of food in some way correlates to martial law.
