What cities commonly grab people from other cities and what cities are they coming from?
ie "There are lots of New York people moving to Chicago"
"There are a lot of transplants from this city here"
"We've lost a lot of people to this city"
Obviously, many cities get people from all over but the fact is that there has be trends.
Also, what reasons do they have for moving?
ie weather
affordability
job
change of pace
move to bigger or smaller city
Perhaps this thread could establish some common trends on where people are moving from and why they are moving.

I've read that recently a lot of people are moving from Brooklyn to Philadelphia. Not necessarily people originally from Brooklyn, but people previously living there.
Lots of Los Angelinos in Orange County.
Lots of Orange Countiers in the Inland Empire.
Lots of Inland Empirians in the High Desert.
Lots of High Desert people with nowhere left to run to.
Lots of Southern Californians in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, and Denver.

When I lived in Philly, a bunch of people I knew (or knew of) moved to New York.
When I lived in Phoenix, I met lots of people who moved there from Chicago.
