I propose a new one: "Ski Belt" from Washington to northern Arizona. Or, if we want to go international, from BC to northern Arizona.

Not for long-- I predict that Arizona Snowbowl will be closed for good within 5 years. With global warming, they can't get enough snow any more to stay open, and the Indian reservations won't let them have snowmaking capabilities. So maybe we'll have to revise that to BC to CO.

now that's interesting. i was there last month and asked the dude at the top of the mountain how much snow they get each year. he said average is about 300 inches - but last winter wasn't as much - low 200's. that's a self-sustaining amount, don't you think?

Don't forget the Rustbelt. That extends from the Northeast to the Upper Midwest with cities like Buffalo, NY, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, etc.

Then there's the Sunbelt.

That extends from D.C to Texas. With major cities being Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Houstoun.

You forgot the grain belt and the cotton belt as well, in addition to the wheat belt. The Corn Belt includes the entire Midwest as well as most of the Central and Northern Plains states, and also includes some of Oklahoma. (Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio and Kentucky primarily near where it touches Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. The Cotton belt consists primarily of 50% of the Upper South, all of the Deep South, and extreme Southeastern Missouri. The Grain belt primarily has the same range as the corn-belt. The Wheat-Belt is primarily Kansas, Nebraska, Eastern Colorado (I think), North Dakota, and South Dakota and also includes Western Missouri, Western Iowa, and Western Minnesota.

Not entirely true. Yes it includes those regions, but it also in pockets of the Lower Midwest as well. St. Louis is unquestionably a Rustbelt city.
