I'm having a difficult time picking where I should go to Grad School. Three schools that I'm looking closely at are Depaul-Chicago, Ohio State-Columbus,and Indiana-Bloomington. I've briefly visited all three and like them all. But with brief visits its still tough to predict what's the best choice to make.

Here are some cons from each.

Chicago
-Loop campus (won't be traditional campus setting)
-Perhaps overwhelming?

Indiana
-Loved the campus - but is Bloomington too small for someone my age (25). I prefer bars, clubs over house party's.
-Also being in a small town may be difficult to land a part time job in my field. (finance-banking)

Ohio State
-Nice campus but is it perhaps too massive?
-Large majority of students are from Ohio. Lacking diversity?
-Also have heard it may not be the safest city?

Any suggestions on where I should go?

Any input is appreciated!

You haven't said what you want to get a degree in or what you want in a city.

Finance. So all of them should be good choices academically.

In a city I like bars, clubs, resteraunts, job opportunity, good public transit, also an enviornment I can feel safe in

Maybe the New School in NYC. Adelphi University in Garden City NY which is on Long Island, Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management, University of Buffalo's School of Manangement, Rider University in Lawrenceville NJ which is near Philadelphia and between Trenton and Princeton and MIT's Sloan School of Manangement located in Cambridge MA.

I don't think all 25-year-olds automatically need a major city so that hit me as a bit presumptuous. I guess the statement meant you want a city bigger than Bloomington, but smaller than Chicago.

The University of Wisconsin, Madison has a well-ranked grad schools in economics. I don't think its crime rate is too bad and it was on Kiplinger's list of cities doing good in this economy.

I would focus on Ohio State University- Columbus and Indiana University- Bloomington. Ideally, OSU may have the best location as it is a much larger city.

I wouldn't worry about the "where students are from" item - any large state school (in a state with a lot of people) is going to have a large majority of in-state students, but otherwise I'd just make sure you're comfortable with where you might be living and not worry too much about location, unless it's a deal-breaker or you have dreams about attending a school in a certain city.
