*Great to see Houston doing well, seems like the economic juggernaut is continues to grow and diversify it's economy. I was also impressed with Philadelphia at #3. Seems like rumors of their demise is greatly exaggerated.
lol, I just read back your post to see if its true you said all of what cry havoc and the others having been saying you said.
Man, its funny, they are not only putting words in your mouth they are putting all sorts of sentences in there.
People read the post. he never said Houston stomped anybody.
All he said was it is great to see Houston doing well.
Does it irk you or something when Houston do well?? sheesh.
Listen, I was paraphrasing the article.....so yeah the topic did closely match the article headline. But anyways, bash away. That's still not going to change the reality of strong progress in the Houston Tech industry. Not Withstanding any questionable methodology the "CALIFORNIA BASED COMPANY" did in compiling it's data, the facts are Houston has an emerging and strong Tech sector in the Green Energy field. That's not going to change anytime soon. If anything it will get stronger. I swear, people on here get their panties in a bunch over nothing.
YOU FAIL, the article did not even come from the Houston Chronicle. I found various sites which listed the same info that's not Houston related. Do they have a Houston Boosting Agenda as Well?
When I searched for the methodology it was picked up by Chron actually look it up yourself
No agenda at all. I have many positive things to say about Houston; just am a realist so when things that are rediculous are posted I respond
The OP never said that and that was never printed in the article. What are you people reading???
Houston's tech industry seems to be more on par with Atlanta, Philly, Dallas ,etc
It's not like Houston is lagging far behind in this sector compared to the others.
Actually Dallas is pretty far ahead based on the rankings. Not all jobs are equal. Dallas is ranked 4 or 5 and Philly ranked 10 or 11 if you read the actual analysis. Houston I think was around 21 or something. Jobs are good; just some are better and some areas have a more prominent tech sector; Houston is getting better but not yet a top tech city

The measure and methodology is EXTREMELY misleading. And the use of CRUSH in this sense is il-informed.
Houston increased listings on their particular commercial job board. It was nothing more than company PR and sensationalism for Houston. Believe what you may but this was poor form
That doesnt mean Houston is not doing well or not adding tech jobs but this particular info can hardly be considered comparable outside of their isolated site. For all we know they could added a new company to their site and doubled their listings. I see no way to take any tangible info from that particular listing. If you want to cheer for it go right ahead.
Silicon Valley has never really had the most tech jobs, not that I know of.
The number of jobs is not and never has been what makes Silicon Valley the capital of tech-its the fact that nowhere else in the country has capacity to incubate a tech company from design and planning all the way to global recognition.
Congrats to Houston btw. Jobs are much needed across the country right now.

It might be on par with Atlanta and Philly. But not Dallas. This is where Dallas has an advantage.
