Yikes! I thought this was a no-no for Mormons.

Maine: dumbest state claim based on lowest average SAT score (1389)
I thought New Englanders were smart.

Interesting site, but I just wanted to clarify this point. SATs are not a measure of intelligence, and lower score states tend to be highly correlated to a greater number of test-takers in that state -- hence more people tend to "lower" the average score. That's a whole other topic, however.

The SAT test is taken by ALL Maine students in either the 11th or 12th grade (I forget which grade level takes it... I believe it is the 11th) as part of the NCLB testing. Not just those interested in going on to college.

I take things from that site with a huge grain of salt. It is primarily a comedy site and not a real good source to take everything (or even a majority) as fact.

It is, and you can't prove it's the Mormons who are subscribing. (Yes, there are actually non-Mormons in Utah. ) Here't the thing the statistics don't tell you. In Utah, the only access people who want to view porn have is online. You can't go purchase the stuff from a retail outlet on the street the way you can in many states.
