That is correct. A designated "International Airport" is an airport that has customs and immigration agents assigned to it, available to inspect arrivals from non-US destinations, which may be charter flights or private aircraft, but do not necessarily have to be scheduled flights on a commercial airline.

Some airports in the US that are :"International" include Alice and Eagle Pass, Texas, Massena and Monticello, New York. Sweetgrass, Glasgow and Del Bonita, Montana, Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and Moses Lake, Washington.

Del Bonita is a truly international airport (and truly an oddity). The Whetstone International Airport runway is right on the international border, with both the US and Canada maintaining customs facilities, on either side of the line. US customs handles about five flights a month, in addition to the road traffic crossing the border on the highway at that point.

Conversely, the northern most city on the Mississippi River is Bemidji, MN, and the headwaters in Lake Itasca, MN.

Dukes county is the only county that has counterparts in 2 states that is comprised of entirely of islands, NY (Queens) and MA (Marthas Vinyard)
In Connecticut the city of Groton, CT is part of the Town of Groton, and all cities are "subsets" of a town (eg: the Town of Harford is cocurrent with the City of Hartford).

Found this browsing around Wikipedia while bored at work today.

Lake Winnipeg, Lake Manitoba, Lake of the Woods and many others are remnants of a huge prehistoric lake, Lake Agassiz that covered much of current Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Minnesota and the Dakotas. It is believed to have drained in a relatively abrupt fashion, causing great climate change as the level of fresh water entering the oceans raised significantly, dramatically altering ocean currents. The fresh water in this lake dwarfed the amount currently contained in all the great lakes.

Queens? Queens consists of Queens County. Maybe I didn't misunderstood your meaning. Did you mean historically? Even then I can't find that Queens was ever a part of any Dukes County.

From Wikipedia:

'Dukes County, New York was a county of the Province of New York from 1683 to 1691. It was formed on November 1, 1683, at the same time as Kings County, Queens County, and Duchess County. It consisted of the Elizabeth Islands, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket Island, all beyond the eastern end of Long Island. In 1691, the entire county was transferred to the newly formed Province of Massachusetts Bay, where it was divided and formed into Massachusetts' Dukes County and Nantucket County.'

Wow... we'd risk getting fired if we were caught surfing the internet at work. Must be nice!
