They are actually very close. Sioux city is at 96 degrees longitude while Houston is at 95 degrees.

So Sioux City is slightly farther west.

Cimarron County, OK:
...is located at the western end of the Oklahoma panhandle.
...has Oklahoma’s highest point, Black Mesa.
...has the only location in the US that’s less than 27 miles from 5 different states.
...has the lowest population of all 77 Oklahoma counties.
...is the only county in the US that borders 4 states.
...is home to “Cimmy the Cimarronasaurus.”

Looking this place up lead me to realize that you can leave Texas going north and go into 3 different states. Didn't realize that Texas has a slight northern boundary with New Mexico.

Much like the anomaly of Point Roberts in Washington state— there is a tiny portion of Vermont called Province Point that is only accessible by land via Canada (Quebec to be exact.)

The Northwest Angle in Minnesota is this way as well.

They usually build an ice road across Canadian waters as a short cut to get there from the rest of the state in the winter, but not this year due to Canada's exclusion of Americans due to Covid. This year, they had to build it in a longer, more circular fashion to avoid crossing the border.

From Hemphill TX if you go straight north you'll hit Louisiana. And from El Cenizo, just east of Laredo, going straight north will put you in Mexico.

The names of the three most populated cities in Ohio all begin with the same letter: Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. It’s the only US state that can claim this fact. The 2010 census also ranked Cuyahoga (another C) as Ohio’s most populated county, (although that ranking is expected to change once the 2020 census data is released.) The geographic center of Ohio is at Centerburg (yet another C).

All three have, once, been the biggest city in Ohio. There are four Ohio "C" cities that have had major league sports franchises. Canton also starts with C, was an early National Football League franchise, and is the seat of the NFL HOF.

Dare we go for five? Chillicothe was the first capital of Ohio. It was bigger than Marietta or Cincinnati then, so probly the biggest city.
