I love that night sky map. My favorite camping spot is north of Atlanta, just south (and over the mountains) from the Knoxville/maryville dots. It shows why the night sky is so awesome there and I don't even have to go to Nebraska/ Oklahoma to see it.

They hate on us while eating food grown here, playing with their iPhone, searching Google, and watching movies from the most hated Hollywood. Not to mention while enjoying the standard of living that our evil state brings to the rest of the country via federal taxes, international shipping, and all associated benefits of having a state with an economy bigger than many countries tucked into the US economy. It's too bad our state is a political bad word, and its too bad it's mostly because of our lack of religious fundamentalism, and our tolerance (Gays, immigrants). Haters can stop eating our food so they don't catch the gay, which a friend of mine was warned against when he moved here from Texas.

California is a drain on federal taxes due to the money needed to support illegals. The standard of living of most California residents is low due to the high cost of living there.

Actually many red states are THE drain on the federal taxes that I pay as a Californian.

Please google donor states vs. recipient states.

I think that I enjoy a pretty nice standard of living, where I can enjoy living one mile off the beach with over 300 days of sunshine and decent weather.

What I find amazing is how many California residents live near the ocean, yet cannot afford a boat. Quite different from Florida or the Great Lakes area where boats are very common.

I own two boats. The problem out here is a lack of harbors and slip space.

You do find a lot of other water activity. though.

How can a supposedly wealthy state not have many harbors?

You are correct. The Red states suck the Blue states dry.
