I paid $2.24 @ Murphys for regular yesterday and with bonus points I get 10 cents off per gallon so I actually paid $2.14.
It's amazing how much more expensive gas is on the west coast.
Baton Rouge currently has the cheapest gas in America. I filled up for $2.07 yesterday. The oil industry, including refineries, do play a dominant role in our local economy. The Exxon refinery for example covers a massive area just north of downtown. A lot of gas is also produced just offshore in the Gulf.

Wow, that would be especially nice since I have a 36 gallon tank. Our lowest today is $3.09 at Costco. If I take 30 gallons, your price would save me over $30.
Get this. It was $3.49 in Tonopah, NV. An hour west of there over the California border, it was $4.89 in Benton, CA. Both are positively in the middle of nowhere. Must be state taxes.
