(in order)

Top tier:
Chicago--Northside or Aurora
Los Angeles--Westside only
NYC--No New Jersey or Connecticut suburbs. New York State only.

Second Tier:
San Fransisco--need to visit; might move to top tier afterwards
Boston--centre of New England
Philadelphia--maybe if it becomes the World Class City that NYC took from it.

NO WAY:
Atlanta--too (traffic) congested. Heard about the Allergy Capital designation.
Miami--too hot and too swampy
St. Louis--Chicago must have vacuumed this place
Minneapolis--Chicago is the best
Seattle--Though similar, San Francisco is better because it's in California
Portland, OR--too small
San Diego--too close to the border and why live here when L.A. is close by?

First off, St. Louis does not have cost issues of living here. IT is one of the more affordable cities in the United STates. That said, were cost not issues to be taken into account, I would pcik Chicago, New York, or San Francisco...something along the I-80 corrridor

You really have something against St. Louis, don't you KerrTown? Why don't you tell every one of the 2.87 milion St. Louisan how horrible and worthless their city is, with its so-called short 40 story buildings and lots of other inferior things....please people, don't give Kerrtown the chance to bash St. Louis..he/she seems more than willing to do it without hesitation given the chance. you don't like St. Louis? fine....but please keep the insults to yourself, they have no ring of truth to them whatsoever.

I guess , given the rules here, it would be Seattle. The traffic is god awful, but , with enough money , I am sure I could overcome it . After all , Bill gates thinks its OK, that MUST tell us something ?

Why would St. Louis even be included on this list. I'm FROM St. Louis, LIVE in St. Louis, and cannot comprehend why it would even be included on the list....

...Not saying that its a "bad" place to live...just that there's no real reason to move here...Unless you like terrible weather/Provel cheese.

I've told many people before I'd live in New York City, if I had the money. It'd probably be a condo from one of the old Plaza Hotel suites. With starting prices of a mere $1.5 million, I'd laugh and tell them I'd just have to run home and get my piggy bank!
